It's not a big deal to me. It seems to be a big deal to you, considering how many times you've repeated the same thought on this thread. You've gone on and on about how I was dissing Stevie with my original comment, which I wasn't. You simply misread it. And you've gone on and on about why it's OK to go back to the vaults and why do I not think so. But one more time: I have not criticized Stevie for that.

I was merely trying to point out that the reason Lindsey's songs were as much as 15 years old and he didn't write new songs for SYW was because he had accummulated this body of work that he wanted to release one way or the other. He had the songs, and they were ready. So he didn't feel he needed to write more songs. They were first-pick songs, really good stuff.

Stevie, on the other hand, had brought in mostly rejects from previous recordings. I am not saying those particular songs were good or bad. But they were rejects that for one reason or another didn't fit into recordings that had already been done. And she herself obviously felt the songs perhaps weren't quite up to par with Lindsey's first-rate stuff and went back to the writing process to come up with some new stuff. Anyway, she has said something along those lines.

That is the difference. Do you get it yet?
