Stevie is as much of a poet as Jewel is..... I like to think of her as a singer/songwriter (who said that earlier in the thread???).
Vanity is vanity is vanity is vanity. It's neither negative, nor positive. If she feels she looks like ****, and she wants to doctor it up- go for it and don't feel ashamed one way or the other.
I think Lindsey was an ass to ask Stevie to change her lyrics. She wrote it that way for her reasons- leave it at that.
"Goodbye Baby" acoustic was incredible!! I had gooseflesh the entire time. It just goes to show you how amazingly unique Stevie's voice is.
