I happen to agree with you on the prima donna issue. It's undeniably there.

But out of a sense of fairness, your comment above is too harsh. When you write a lot, you're going to forget a lot of what you wrote. I wrote songs last year that I couldn't play right now without looking at the lyric sheet and the chords. The ones I play often come to me automatically.

This happens to most performers, though I am sure there are exceptions. But, hey, the Stones actually have to relearn a bunch of their own songs when they rehearse to go on tour. After all, these people are just human.
