It's like being a teenage Beatle fan...sure I can see where you'd like their music, but how can you REALLY be into the Beatles, when you weren't "there" to first hand feel the musical & sociological events as they happened?

I very much agree, but only to an extent. Dylan's music will have a lot more meaning to someone who grew up listening to it while it was being churned out in the 60s and 70s and they'll be able to get a better grasp of his music because they knew what he was getting at during those times. But I also think that not growing up during those eras has its benefits, too. I think that someone under 30 who enjoys his music may perhaps have a great appreciation for it because they can relate to it
without being there, so to speak. Get what I'm saying?
