Well, I can just add to this thread that there are of course, songs that have a guitar or musical part that touches my soul more than any lyric EVER could. Case in point: Go Insane from the OOTC Washington DC show (the one Nancy has on her site) and of course, the difinitive...ISA from the Dance. Sure, I love the lyrics to BOTH songs, but it's not the lyrics that really get me, it's the guitar playing.
Also, the music in Red Rover....brings me to tears.
I've always listened to songs musically first, then, sat down to soak in the lyrics...so they are secondary for me. Which is weird, as I write poetry...LOL
