Unfortunately, unlike our friend above, Lindsey Buckingham has yet to honour me with the coveted status of "Genius of Fleetwood Mac guitar parts", but nevertheless I hope this helps you.
If you want to play "The Chain" as it is played by Lindsey, there is a perfect note-for-note transcription of how Lindsey plays it on "The Dance" here on The Penguin. (It is, for all intents and purposes, also identical to the way he plays it now on the SYW Tour).

The album version (and live versions from 1977 to 1980, plus LB's 1993 solo tour) are all variations of that same riff, only a capo is placed on the 2nd fret, shifting the key of the song up one whole step from D to E. Again, an idea of how the original riff differs from the '97 one is given on that same link (if you look lower down).
If you want to, however, just strum along to the song, I agree 100% with the chords David has given above.
(All other versions of tabs or chords I've seen for that song contain anything from a few to countless errors.)
