[I don't particularly like the song, but I have to admit that's a great line. I especially like how it can be taken in different ways.]

It was I who was the hourglass
And the sands of time
Like shattering glass went past me
Like a tunner to the sea
[It's the most poetic thing in the whole album and it is heartbreaking, especially if it is about what I think it is.]
