Moreover, FM is far larger than TP has ever been or will be, they carry far more crew, and they play larger venues. Springsteen is as large if not larger. While he has his integrity, he also is a solo act and is worth already about $100 million off of touring rev. and rec. sales. So, he apparently does not mind being about music and money.
Also, since when has FM been about the music? They have always charged, to my recollection, the market price for tickets, have almost always recorded on an extravaggant basis (rented fancy houses, taken lots of people on tour with them, etc.)? So, I say, let them make what they can off of their product. Finally, as I pointed out several months ago, far less expensive seats available further back and higher up.

Yeah, that's all fine and dandy, but we're not just talking about their ticket prices; we're talking about their business practices and greed overall. And they are charging way above the average ticket price, which I just read as being $70. The greatest hits show that they're touring with at the moment is not worth $150 a ticket. it just isn't. And if they weren't so ridiculously extravagant on the road, the ticket prices wouldn't be so high. It all comes down to greed in the end, unfortunately.
