Johnny Stew will help us out here in a minute, but didn't "Go Insane" the single do fairly well? Nothing like Fleewtood Mac's stuff, but I remember hearing it all the time. I actually didn't even get the album until 1986. Believe it or not, at the time I had no interest in Lindsey's solo stuff. I was a Stevie fan. It was Rock a Little that made me reevaluate the whole thing. While I loved Bella Donna and The Wild Heart, when I got Rock a Little, I was like, "What the .....?"
I get your point about him leaving after the tour was booked, but ultimately, as you said, it was for the best.
