I never thought it was that bad, I always would get two fifths at a time...down 'em, then go back in for more. Good thing I had a full beard at the age of 14!!! The old guy behind the counter (he HAD to have been AT LEAST 80) had glasses thicker than Coke bottles and never did an ID check. Helped that I was also 5'10" tall at 14, as well.

Oh, yeah, also used to down Gallo Spanada and Gallo Sangria, too. Yummy! No wonder I have health problems these days!

Eventually eased into "grown-up" wines, like Inglenook Mountain Rose' & Mateus Red...then evolved into a wine snob.

Now: Behringer White Zinfandel or Morningstar Merlot.
