I wonder how different are the Billboard charts from the worldwide figures. Would they be similar? Cause I can't undestand how Talk To Me reached a higher position than Gypsy or Everywhere. Or Go Insane than Landslide. The power of marketing?

PS: Is it correct that Christine's initials are CV?

Of course Gypsy is a better song than Talk To Me. However the Mirage singles were all much bigger than their chart peak. Hold Me held at #4 for 7 weeks. Gypsy held at #12 for 3 weeks. Love In Store even held at #22 for 2 or 3 weeks. There were monster tunes that did not allow movement of some songs.
Leather and Lace and Trouble were also held up by Physical which spent 9 weeks at #1 and Waiting for a Girl like you at #2 for 11 weeks and other monster songs like Start Me Up and Arthur's Theme. Those songs cock blocked everyone from moving up.
