I don’t remember that rumour at all. Very different and somehow out of topic, I do remember a fake info during the 1997 Reunion tour, and it was posted here in The Ledge, the old format. Halfway through the tour a ledgie (I can’t remember who) posted there was a major fight in the band and the tour was being cancelled.
I remember the post saying that the fight happened after a specific concert, about how they had played, or disagreements over the setlist, stuff like that and it had degenerated into a major dispute, so the tour was over. I don't remember what concert she/he was referring to, but it was before the New York show, which I had planned to go to (not sure if I had already bought the ticket).
Social media didn't exist yet, but there were already several magazines and newspapers online. I never found any article that mentioned it. And as we know, the tour was never canceled. And I enjoyed Fleetwood Mac on Thanksgiving 1997.
