That would have been great, but possible only under the premise that Lindsey still wanted to be in a band. But he was reticent to continue with Fleetwood Mac, and not only because of Stevie, but he wanted to continue enjoying "his hard-won independence and deep into his own album with Richard Dashut" (MF book). And as he said in 1997, that leaving was "a survival move and in response to the need to grow", so I don't think that idea ocurred to them in the 80s. At least not to him. Probably he could have invited her to a couple of tracks, but not to join forces.
