I think the "cave" applies more. Though I prefer "bubble". Nothing related to my country, but it happens that I have always, and more recently, lived in a kind of bubble in terms of music. Lot of songs I didn't pay attention. More so now that I hardly listen to the radio.
But in 1991 I used to go to clubs, and remember several dance songs and bands. And I also remember some top charts songs. Still, I can't remember J&A. Probably it's my age-related memory loss, although they say that one forgets recent events but never older ones.
Anyway I find it's a cool song.
