I think the lack of output of new music after The Dance is dissapointing, but not maddening. I mean it didn't surprise me.
They just released SYW, and that EP with those songs I don't even recall. Eagles just released Long Road Out of Eden, Guns N Roses also released only one new album lately. And The Police just did what most bands do when they reunite, a tour.
How many bands that have reunited this century have had a prolific release of new studio albums? For many reasons they are no longer active as they were at the time. Mostly we have just more tours, and live and compilation albums.
I think solo artists remain more active than the bands in the present, in terms of new material.
