Of the 1977 batch on Rumours Deluxe, I am not aware of any discrepancies with those four venues or the live dates on the earlier Rumours Extended. Same for the three or four venues represented on white album Deluxe. Those dates and locations were floating around in the ether for decades before those deluxe editions, anyway. (The Albatross But Not Around My Neck Please vinyl bootleg was usually advertised as Yale Coliseum in New Haven.)

The Live Deluxe third disk has an obvious mistake in the dating — for “The Chain.” It’s billed as a Cleveland 1980 performance, but it’s an Inglewood Forum (the alternative night from the one that’s on the new CD). So far, I have no reason to doubt the other venues on that disk. I can spot the performance differences between a “Tusk” from May 1980 and one from August 1980, and these dates all ring true. To me.

The Tusk Deluxe disks 4 and 5 venues and dates all seem plausible, although there’s a little confusion over whether certain cuts from St. Louis were Nov. 5 or 6. But “Say You Love Me,” “Dreams,” “Rhiannon,” “Sara,” “Landslide,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “What Makes You Think You’re the One,” “World Turning,” “Go Your Own Way,” and “Sisters of the Moon” all seem correctly dated. You know you’re Tusk tour savvy if you can identify a June 1980 “World Turning” from an August 1980 “World Turning.” Comparing and contrasting the two can hone your expertise. It makes for a good tutorial.

Those same disks have cuts from no fewer than five different nights at Wembley, so we have no way of confirming the specific dates without audience recordings.

No clue about the accuracy of anything dated on the 1969–74 compilation.

For the latest batch from Inglewood 1982, it’s impossible for me to confirm it all. There were performances on the original video that I swore were from the first night because of faint memories I had, which have now been dated the second night, so I’m largely lost. For example, on the first night, Stevie did some dancing on “The Chain” with the cameraman right in back of her that I could swear she did not repeat on the second night — and the video captures it. Yet that cut is ID’d as Oct. 22. Another example: the higher, rather forced register on bridge to “Gypsy” (heard on the video) I could swear was the first night, and the different “Gypsy” on the new CD is labeled as second night — so that works, yay. Finally, I swear I remember hearing Lindsey say “Isn’t that a great song?” after “Hold Me” on the first night, not the second — and lo and behold that is correctly labeled on Live Deluxe.

This hurts my brain.
