That's the point! Why try and replicate the album, that's rather passé, this is a fresh viewpoint using amazing source material. I like the fact they have not even attempted to touch Lindsey's playing. But the melodic nature of his playing is strong. Utilising instruments that fit the tune, violin, mandolin etc... Her voice is STUNNING! I mean c'mon let's be objective here.
God, we are such a miserable bunch. This will introduce the album to a whole new generation. These are established artists, not some nobodies. Did anyone check out Ryan Adams take on Taylor Swift's 1989? That was perfection, better than the actual record.
This is how the legacy of the band lives on.
