Dissention, I pretty much agree with your assessment. Besides, using Pro Tools to alter one's voice is pretty much an admission that you can't hit certain notes. Make no mistake about it: With Pro Tools an engineer can change pitch and alter notes. If you belt out an A instead of G, the softare will fix it. Is that really singing, then?
I like Stevie. I give her a lot of credit for cleaning up her act. I just can't listen to most of her new stuff, Goodbye Baby being a huge exception. And, man, what a beautiful song! Running Through the Garden has decent vocals, but the production is too 80s for me, so that could be Lindsey's fault.
Johnny Stew, Stevie could moo on tape and you'd still defend it to the death. Admit it. Nothing wrong with your fandom, my friend. In fact, I kind of admire how you stick up for her. The last thing I would want to do is discourage anyone from listening to something they like. So even when I knock Stevie's voice or songwriting, I am by no means trying to get people to not listen to her.
