The thing is, I don't think Polydor has anything more to do with Buckingham Nicks because Stevie and Lindsey bought the rights to the recording years ago, so it's totally theirs.
Based on the info that ICE magazine and some online retailers previously reported, I think Buckingham Nicks
was on its way to CD via an online distributor like Amazon.com to get worldwide distribution. But Rhino put a stop to that idea once they realized what a potential goldmine they would not have any cut in. ICE was ready to print that the CD was going to be available early 2004 through the internet first when that vague statement from the Rhino rep was issued.
I think Rhino finally realized there's a demand for the album on CD, and is scrambling to put together some deal with Stevie and Lindsey.
