Yes Carne you guessed it.. Anybody as anally fixated on guitars as Seteca, myself and by the looks of it a few others..
will know, the Mexican models have different headstock logos to the American model. The "Fender" logo is in a bold silver and the "Stratocaster" logo is much bigger than the American model.
I'm sure that Ray must have replaced the pickups or something because it sounded a little more aggressive on the neck pickup than your average Mexican Strat ( I had one a couple of years back for a while)
