Sorry, but “Crazy ‘Bout You Baby,” “Get Like You Used To Be,” “I’d Rather Go Blind,” “Stand Back,” “Go Insane,” and “Don’t Let Me Down Again” are as much Fleetwood Mac songs as “Don’t Dream It’s Over” or “Free Falling.”
Hypothetically, if the band had brought back Dave Mason and played “We Just Disagree,” “Only You Know & I Know,” and “Feelin’ Alright,” would that been okay? He was a member of Fleetwood Mac and released an album with them.
What if they brought Billy back, but he only did “Don’t Say No,” “Tangled Up In Texas,” and “Ain’t Got The Heart” in addition to the Lindsey songs, would people have been okay?
See, this is why I call BS. Fleetwood Mac did what it always did whenever they brought in someone new. The problem wasn’t the songs, the problem was the situation and the reaction would have been the same regardless.
