Lindsey has always been relatively private, cautious, and meticulous; and though he let down his guard last year by making the "close your eyes and take the money" critique when pressed by that journalist (which, as David has noted, could hardly be considered a firing offense anyway, considering the rock and roll context), one assumes that he still is still the same type of person. It will be a shame for us fans that the settlement amount will be confidential, thus making it difficult for the Stevie camp or Lindsey camp to say who "won". But specific terms aside, any settlement should be considered a "victory" for the Lindsey side of this shambles.

Most likely it'll settle and we'll never know the amount. The cost of airing the dirty laundry and $$ spent litigating will be offset against the chance of Lindsey winning this suit. That's always the case. Lindsey could have even agreed to a contingency fee with his counsel here to offset his costs of filing and pursuing this. Regardless, after hundreds of thousand $ spent litigating the issues, it'll settle. They do 99% of the time.

. He's either an employee of his own corporation or LC (W2) or he's 1099 independent contractor. Extremely high income earners set up their own corps to Schedule deductions etc . Whatever he is, there's always a tax liability.
The interesting part for me is that through discovery, we can find out a lot about the bands machinations. I did figure out that FM sets up a LLc for every tour for merch etc and has even sued some merchandisers. There's $$ in merch .
