It is badly written. Here, there are a lot of words. Yet, I have read it twice and concluded that there is no discernable meaning; I would, in fairness, say that I get a general 'impression' (ie, he seems to like the band, he doesn't seem to like the band), but I don't even get the gist!

I think that JS is right about giving this guy too much credit, because even if he is intending to be witty and light-hearted, it's pretty clear that he the least of us knows what he's going on about!
