Really? You don’t think something like “Rattlesnake Shake” couldn’t hold an audience’s attention as well as “I’m So Afraid” during a set? I became a fan in 1987 when I was 13, and “Rattlesnake Shake” was a very early standout, like on the first listen. And, you don’t think there are enough people who remember “Hypnotized” now? The audience is very mixed at shows. A lot of people will know those songs.

I think there's a big difference between someone leaving on their own for valid reasons (and in Christine's case) giving their blessing to the band. But pushing someone out is 'breaking the chain'.
And no I don't think so. At least where I live, their shows are FILLED with a lot of people in their 20s who bought Rumours on vinyl at Urban Outfitters and saw Stevie on American Horror Story. Those people don't even know I'm So Afraid, I've seen it with my own two eyes. They sing along to Dreams, Landslide, Go Your Own Way, Seven Wonders (thanks to AHS) and the really famous songs. But even songs like Say You Love Me, So Afraid etc they literally don't even know the lyrics. It's not a secret that the pre-BN era is not that well known to most people in the US at least today as it is to the megafans on this board. If the only people who bought tickets to FM concerts today were the fans who have been there since the beginning they'd be playing to barely filled arenas. It's not a matter of remembering as it is that most of these people are fans of the Rumours lineup. They just don't really listen to anything beside the Rumours lineup.
