I thought he'd have a decent amount- even a tiny cut of the album royalties would bring a huge income. Also, I'm sure he's been sensible with how he's used his money- he comes across as very shrewd and conservative.
Conversely, though I'm sure he's not exactly short, Richard always seemed to imply he was far from wealthy through his blogs.
