As much as I hope it comes out too, I bet "getting the deal" is going to be the sticking point as if we assume that Christine will only sign a deal with a label that will let her release an album and not tour to promote it, then I don't think there'll be many takers. Perhaps a smaller label may be more flexible with that but it seems they want it to be on a big label and I don't know if they'll have much success in that plan but here's hoping anyways.

In Ken's e-mail, I think he said that she had gotten some interest from record labels over there. I assume he was referring to some British record labels. I didn't think she was looking for any major record deal over here in the U.S. I also don't think touring makes much of a difference to older artist's record sales. Look at Fleetwood Mac now. They're touring everywhere and it doesn't seem to have done much of anything for Say You Will record sales.
Anyway, hopefully we'll see Christine's album sometime next year.
