back in the late eighties and early nineties before the internet, I used to put deposits down on shows through a ticket agency in Southern California. They would call you a week after the tickets were on sale and tell you which ones were available and the prices. It was always very expensive. On the time-space to her for the Irvine Meadows California show I ended up with front row Center tickets and at that time it was $300 a seat. That agency would allow me to put a deposit down on the shows like 50 bucks, and then you can make payments towards that until they were paid off as long as you had everything paid six weeks prior to the performance. I know a lot of ticket agencies back in the day operated that way because they would buy blocks of Premium tickets so they could resell them to the public. At a premium. I don't know if this goes on still I'm sure it does. I don't ever remember VIP packages or anything like that back in the day. That's a relative new phenomena.
