I've just arrived home from my Houston tour date. I've practiced incredible self restraint over the last few days by staying off this board and NOT peaking at the set list. I'm truly happy that I didn't preview the set, because this was like seeing Stevie in the old days before internet. After a fantastic show, it's clear that The High Priestess is sticking to her promise of turning the set list UPSIDE DOWN. Much to the dismay of casual fans who came only to hear "Landslide" and "Dreams", Miss Nicks did not disappoint her hardcore base.
From the first strains of "Gold and Braid", it was clear that miss thing wasn't playing around. She was here to please those of us who've hung on her every word for the past 40 years. As suburban soccer moms and their bobble head daughters pined for "Landslide", Miss Stevie couldn't be bothered while tearing her way through "Moonlight", "Crying in the Night", and "New Orleans". Casual audience members were dumbfounded, at least in my section.
We posted, and she listened. This time out, Stevie Nicks means business! "Wild Heart" was gorgeous and transferred to stage perfectly. This tune should have been done years ago! I was like a kid in a candy store! Thank you, Stevie!!!!
