Artist reimagines classic album covers to feature 'Star Wars' characters

Steven Lear, a digital artist and former record store manager living in London, found a way to blend two of his hobbies and passions together — graphic design and music — in a very cheeky way.
Going by the artist moniker WhyTheLongPlayFace?, Lear uses Photoshop — a skill he only picked up around two years ago — to mash up iconic album covers from artists like Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Prince, and Nirvana, with characters from all around pop culture. At first, he worked on his projects to help advertise new releases at the music store wherein he worked, but when the store closed down, he started working on his own pieces, and released them via his own social media accounts.
One of the best and most popular series he's worked on so far is the collection of covers that feature "Star Wars" characters, both classic and new.
As you might imagine, the results are fun and absurd. On one, Lear replaces the winged manikin of Nirvana's "In Utero" with C-3P0; on another, he swaps out the prism on the cover of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" with the Death Star. New characters like Rey and Kylo Ren appear throughout his account, too.
