Can no-one write original copy any more? Someone's singularised them and ignored the bit about the Brits, but that's it. "I know", someone at the Dodgers must have thought "no-one will ever have heard of this combo we've booked to do the music while everyone tucks into their chicken-in-a-basket. Let's see what Wikipedia says about them. That'll look really classy on the blurb..."


Oh, the scourge of Wikipedia.
It was changed because most American readers won't know what the Brit Awards are. As for the grammar, there are differences between American and British English with regard to matching subjects and verbs. But as someone who studied languages in school, I can appreciate your outrage!
