I like Paper Doll too, but probably for different reasons. Both Paper Doll and Freedom, another unpopular song, pull lines from Oscar Wilde's
The Picture of Dorian Gray. While it's cool to know what she's been reading, it usually makes for a jumbled, disjointed song. Stevie is better off just adapting entire works (i.e. Annabel Lee) so these songs make sense to her fans.
