I've come to like this album in recenet years. Sure, I
absolutley adored Gypsy when it was first realsed as a single in early September of 1982. But... upon purchasing
Mirage and listening to it for the very first time, I pretty much hated it, to be honest. A few tracks, in my opinion, were just dreadful, ear-piecing noise that gave me nightmares.... but I will not reveal which ones, as I do
NOT want to start a silly debate.
Anyway, not too long after I bought it, a dear friend of mine asked if could she could borrow it (she was having a hard time finding it and she is a
HUGE Fleetwood Mac fan) And I said "yes" and I also told her "you can keep it" she was stunned and asked why and I told her, it was because I hated it. However, about 15 years ago I re-purchased it and had a completely different opinion on it. Now it's become one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac albums. That's the story of my love/hate relationship with this album.
