These are exquisite songs. Her singing on both of them is inspired, particularly on "Warm Ways," which is a bit of an aberration for Christine: it is written in E-flat, one of the only songs with a "black" root note. As a player of the keys myself, I completely sympathize with her comment. Playing in a sharp or flat key can be a bit more difficult on the fingers. Still, one of the reasons "Warm Ways" sounds different and fresh is because it revels in a musical texture she doesn't normally explore.
