i would think
release date would be pushed back, not recording date. they can finish recording the album now, then do any needed production, fixes, mastering, picture taking, cover selection, market research, pr, choosing how to release it, where to release it, why to release it, leak songs slowly on various social media (setting up some good social media! --> see David Bowie's last 2 albums for at least partial inspiration how it can be done, although social media keeps moving forward fast), etc etc. that all can easily take awhile after the album is finished, i really don't see them releasing it a month after they finish recording it, now that they've been waiting so long after the initial recording.
