i'm guessing this must have been 1985-86? so could it be that after Stevie was away busy with multiple solo albums and tours and couldn't join the band to work on the FM album between 1982 and 1985 Lindsey went off to work on the solo album, at which point some time in 1986 "Stevie's people" finally agreed for her to work with FM? and she spent the whole 2 weeks with them.
btw, i can completely understand if SN/her people decided to put her solo carrier first at the time. it makes a lot of sense. just trying to figure out if that's what happened.
nowadays, it's less understandable if she's putting her solo stuff before the band, since solo she's not very commercial anymore and it doesn't seem to be much of a creative outlet for her. possible explanation may be that unlike for example Christine who loves working with the band and feeds off the others in FM, Stevie might be annoyed with the rest of the band and being around them creates negative vibes for her. otherwise, why wouldn't she take Chris or Linds on their offers to co-write some songs together? i'm still hoping that may happen this apr-may.
