Cant disagree in hindsight. But Fleetwood Mac have always been aware of continuity and how their fans react to change. Thats why in the Bob Welch years they continued to play a lot of Peter Green material. Thats why on Behind the Mask they made Christine and Stevie as prominent as possible. Thats why on Time they made as much of Christine as possible.
At the time the Fleetwood Mac album came out their fans didnt know much about Stevie Nicks. The idea of a second female voice was alien to them so I suppose it was only to be expected that Stevie's vocals were so limited. Dont forget, Mick didnt even really want Stevie in the first instance- she came along as part of the deal to get Lindsey.
btw, people keep saying Stevie should have had more than 2 songs; she did, she just didnt sing lead on them all.
