still kinda shocks me every time when i see U2 listed with these older bands... guess i'm showing my age.

Stones, McCartney, The Who Neil Diamond are all well into their 70s if not 80s. FM are in their 70s or late 60s. they are 60s and 70s bands.

U2 are in their early 50s. yeah they made it big while very young, their breakthrough was in the 80s. but the difference in age between Bono and Eddie Vedder (who just turned 50!) or Nirvana guys (so 90s bands) is less than difference in age between Christine and Lindsey. U2 and grunge guys are 20 years, a whole generation, younger...

so when last week we saw those One Direction backstage pics on instagram, it was 3 music generations that you had there all together backstage, in one photo - FM, Pearl Jam, and 1D.
