I think at this stage Lindsey has fully acknowledged and accepted where his solo career stands. He doesn't need the money and his satisfaction isn't based on popularity, unlike Stevie. And if Fleetwood Mac ceased to be he'd go right back to doing a solo album. He's not doing Fleetwood Mac because it's more viable, he's doing it because he loves working with the band.

Yeah, I have a feeling if Stevie tries to go back to touring 10,000-20,000 seat amphitheaters solo she'll be in for a very humbling awakening. Especially since the market has been saturated with her presence the past few years due to these consecutive Mac tours. I don't get the feeling that's what's going to happen, though. If Stevie does tour next year it will likely be in a new way- as an opening artist (again), or doing smaller theater type venues in only the larger key North American markets. She definitely wants to get her 24k songs before live audiences, and take a break from FM. Any tour would likely be abbreviated, though- simply because I just don't see a larger tour being sustainable at this point.
