That is a good lesson in what lighting and camera angle can do. Stevie and the band are being shot from a distance with great stage lighting but not so great camera lighting. So, on the big screen (which also has the problem of limited resolution) they look like they have severer lines in their faces then they really do. This effect is created by the shadows associated with far away lighting and punctuated by the limited and grainy resolution big screen. So, while I love the big screen projection, it has its limitations in a live setting such as this.
Also, they are very clever on how they are shot even from that angle and distance. For example, when at her mic., Stevie is almost always shot from the waist up and the beading and ribbons hanging from her mic. stand add a black vertical line to her. This is very smart of her as it is very flattering to an already beautiful woman of 55.
