That is likely what was happening. They were just exploring the possibility. This wasn't a formal rehearsal of the song, but just some playing around with it. I but I must say, it's intriguing hearing how they would have reinterpreted it.
They didn't completely ignore her solo work, but their collective band material took precedence. I can only recall Stand Back, Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You and Go Insane. Stevie was probably the most persistent to perform her solo songs. Christine's solo work would blend so senselessly, it's surprising none of her solo songs slipped into their sets. Any song from her two albums would be fantastically rendered by the band. "Friend" is one of my favorites; it's so Mac friendly.
