The crickets seemed to chirp for ages before the lights went down. Then Mick walks out on the stage, followed by Mick and we wait, and I'm thinking something's wrong for a minute there, but then Lindsey and Stevie walk on the stage hand in hand. It was a jolt to see them again after two long months (non-US people, please don't throw anything at me). The Chain starts. Yep. Them's the Mac. I got on my tip toes to see Stevie's footwear since I was back in the nosebleeds (7th row). Still the Reeboks *gag* But Lindsey was looking FINE in his bluejeans. The White Shirt with the Rolled Up Sleeves™ was back. It had taken a hiatus, according to a friend of mine, and I was hoping for a primary color, but it'll do.

Dreams was nice. Stevie seemed pretty energized. Obviously the break had done her some good. At this point, I'm still spazzing about being at a Mac concert so I can't concentrate on all the little details I LOVE. Take a breath, Tracy.

The drums start up for Eyes of the World. That drummer helper guy...Steve? (I consulted my brand new, shiny tourbook - which, by the way, appears to be identical to the one Daniel posted a while ago - and couldn't find him). Anyway, he was beating the crap out of his drums. I thought he was going to poke a hole in them. The guy in front of me was positioned perfectly so that Lindsey was on the right side of his head and Stevie was on the left so it was like watching them in split screen. They both obviously love to perform this song.

Lindsey did his little Peacekeeper speech about how they got together back in the 70s and uh..well, you know it by now. I get bored during this song and remember there's a new backup singer so I glance their way. Hi Sharon! Hi new girl! She's a tiny little thing. Couldn't hear much of a difference in their vocals so I guess she's doing a good job.

Second Hand News gets EVERYONE up and dancing. And I've been bitching a little tiny bit about them never varying their set list, but I actually couldn't remember what song came next a couple of times. Der.

Ok, one of the concert's Extremely Very Special Moments© happened during the guitar solo for Say You Will. Stevie dances up to Lindsey and they are both looking at each other with the most tender expressions. They were basically dancing with each other, looking one another in the eye and just DAMN. I had the BEST view of this, and I wish I had a videocamera to capture it. I thought that was going to be the only highlight of the show. I was wrong.

During the intro to Never Going Back Again, Stevie got a drink out of Brett's water bottle. I found this funny since she had three different cups to choose from on Mick's drum stand. This song, of course, was beautiful. I noticed when Stevie made her way up to the mic after changing that she had her half-moon necklace on. Was she wearing it before?

Stevie howled for Rhiannon. She did a couple of little kicks and a few slow twirls. When she left the stage, she and Lindsey clasped hands for a second.

All of the old people sat down for Come. We need a Come cam. I'd like to see the audience from his perspective. He was leaning against the mic stand again, getting his finger ready to make someone's night. The fogies stayed seated until the very end, but he got his ovation.

Stevie came out in the long pink sheer robe with the pretty silk looking trim along the bottom. I think she knows it's kind of a shock to go from Come to Gypsy so abruptly, and she's mixing it up for us. Stevie was giving Lindsey some huge smiles during this, and she even sang the 'do do dut do do do' part like she used to!

Mick led Stevie off the stage and the background dropped down for Big Love. Lindsey held his hands over his head and stretched his fingers. He played it flawlessly, as usual.

Stevie rejoined him for Landslide and dedicated it, of course, to us for always being there for them or somesuch. Stevie walked behind Lindsey like she always does for his solo, and I can't see anything except her hands on his shoulders and those blood red nails of hers. She was tapping her index fingers on his shoulders. She again had a huge smile on her face when she sang, 'I'm getting older, too.' During the pause in the song, Stevie held her hand up as if to give Lindsey a high five, but he clasped her hand in his and held it up for a moment then kissed it. Aw.

I don't know how they manage to get through Say Goodbye every night without flubbing it. AGAIN, some idiot starts screaming Stevie's name during this quiet, but lovely song. Meanwhile, Lindsey and Stevie are looking directly at each other and singing to each other as if they were the only people in the room. Lindsey blew Stevie a kiss at the close of the song. I'm telling you, they are messing with our minds tonight. Unless you're right, strand, and they are shagging. LOL.

I'm still digging What's the World Coming To. And I still laugh every time he gives his spontaneous speech. Most of my section had sat down for Say Goodbye, but they popped right out of their seats during the intro to this song, so maybe I'm not the only one.

Stevie intro'd Beautiful Child. She was playing air guitar during the beginning of this song! I thought that was so bizarre. Stevie sang 'I love you. I still love you' at the end. Then she goes right into Gold Dust Woman. Stevie makes some of the most intense expressions during this song. And you gotta do the hourglass and spider fingers with her. I wish a few photos of that would've been included in the tourbook. At the end, instead of doing the pose we've seen before with her bent towards one side, she puts her arms above her head and does this stretch thing.

Lindsey set the stage on fire with I'm So Afraid. Some girl threw a pink bra up on stage, but I don't think he saw it. He broke at least one string, maybe two. I think it was during this song when Stevie was leaving the stage that she stopped over by Taku and they made faces at each other. It's interesting to see how she sneaks off the stage. She does this slow dance/walk thing until she thinks you can't see her anymore then she strides off like a normal person. Anyway, Lindsey's cheeks were so pink at the end of this number.

Stevie SANG Silver Springs. You could see the veins in her throat, a la The Dance. She sang, 'still I'm just a fool' at the end. Oh, and Carlos and Neale were in my line of sight between Lindsey and Stevie so I noticed that they were singing it to each other. Love is in the air...

Tusk starts out great and gets better. Right before the Tusking would usually commence, Lindsey's guitar becomes unplugged. He takes the cord and swings it around, showing it to Stevie, then he takes his guitar off and puts it on the floor and heads for Stevie. She gets her dukes up (one duke still has the tambourine in it) and Lindsey gets his up and they dance around each other in circles, pretending to box. It was hysterical! Then Lindsey grabs Stevie's hand and they twirl around a few more times. Then Lindsey seems to not know what to do with himself without his guitar since the song isn't quite over so he starts kind of jumping around a little bit. Yes, Lindsey, this is spontaneous! Good boy!

When the drum intro for Stand Back starts, Lindsey is still wound up, and he starts doing this tribal dance over in front of Mick. Somebody, please have this on video and share it! He was doing his hand relaxation thing and jumping up and down. I was cracking up.

So Stevie comes out and points to Brett to show him off. She's looking good, she's sounding good. Lindsey's singing to the girls on his end of the stage. Stevie twirled quite a bit and did her little half-kick. The energy level in the arena definitely went up for this one.

Lindsey took his guitar strap off during Go Your Own Way and started swinging it around while still playing it. Then he held it up and started playing it normally again and the strap kept getting in the way of his fingers. He let the folks up front play his guitar. It sounded awful He actually pulled it away for a minute then let them play it again. He signed a few autographs and when they were getting ready to leave the stage, Lindsey said 'I'm coming back.' twice to the girls up front, signaling that he'd sign it for them then.

When they came back out for the encore, Lindsey threw something at the girls up front. I think it was a towel or a t-shirt.

World Turning - Stevie did that thing she does when she's kind of turned to the side like she's singing to the mic behind her back and she played the hell out of her tambourine. So Mick does his schtick for what seems like donkey's years. I tried to see Lindsey, but I could only see the top of his fro until it was time for him to get up and start playing again. I love how Stevie seems to just appear at the side of the stage during this song. She seems to enjoy Mick and Lindsey's duet. She starts playing her tamborine and does a little kick in time. Then she has to rush over to her mic to pick up her vocals.

During the band intros, Mick seemed to forget John. John held his hand up to get his attention then Mick said something about them being together forever.

Brett jumped up on his keyboards and played with his elbows. At the end of Don't Stop, Lindsey and Stevie stood back to back. Stevie had her tambourine over her head and she was shaking it. They stood there like that for almost a minute. Lindsey turned towards her and put his head on her back for several seconds.

The band did NOT leave the stage before Goodbye Baby. The lights were still up and Stevie's assistant came out on the stage and put Stevie's pink shawl on her right there. When it was over, Stevie walked up to the mic and said, 'Atlanta, Georgia! (pause) You rock!' Then she put her fist up in the air. She actually shook some guy's hand before she headed towards the back.

Mick was making a speech about how we all ought to love each other & stuff, and I noticed that Lindsey and Stevie had not left the stage. They had turned around and were looking at Mick. Stevie was leaning back on Lindsey and his arm was around her neck. She wrapped her pink shawl around her tighter, and Lindsey's hand got wrapped up, too. They had the most serene expressions on their faces. If the battery to my camera hadn't DIED, I'd have a photo to show you. I don't believe they're still "in love" with each other, but from looking at that scene, you can't blame the people who do! Lindsey kissed Stevie's head again. They stood there like that until Mick finally shut up. Then they all left the stage.

On the way home, I turn on the radio and they play RED ROVER. They also played Paper Doll!?!, Bleed to Love Her, Peacekeeper and Sisters of the Moon. Woot!
