I agree, this was something Stevie probably said sincerely in the confusion of the situation but there is no way they could come back. You would have to still have to charge money and it's doubtful a small market like Lincoln could support that. The ticket prices make that somewhat prohibitive.
They did play 2/3 of the show so it was enough. I am sure fans were disappointed but understood the unusual circumstances.
