But in my opinion, she's a fantastic marketer and their relationship is staged for the benefit of the soap opera. You can post a million pictures, (and I love your gifs and pics.) but they will never convince me that it's nothing but staged. They love writing about each other because they are good at it and the fans love it. I'm just a fan of the band and the music and I'm certainly in the minority. But I've been following this band long enough to realize they set up a lot of PR that works for them..

I agree that she's a fantastic marketer and that there are parts of the relationship staged or portrayed in a certain way to prolong the image of the soap opera for the public eye. A lot of the time it's dull to me as well, rehashing the same old thing. And well, they're not going to do PR that doesn't work for them, are they? We just disagree on the purpose of the PR and what is true behind it, I think.
Questions:
1. Crying onstage, obviously emotional choking up, one off 'I love you's, etc - staged and not real?
2. Nights when they don't or barely interact - staged and not real?
3. Embracing in the dark - staged and not real?
4. Songs they reveal YEARS later to be about the other - written about the other, or lied about years later?
5. Differences in length of hugs, type of hand clasp, etc - actually decided upon before every show or natural evolution from a lesser planned action?
6. Does 'planning' or 'staging' an interaction mean what it indicates (affection, enjoyment of each other, etc) is 'fake'?
7. Hanging out with each other away from press, or seeing the other at a solo concert, and playing down that element of the r'ship - how does that fit in?
8. Is the sentiment in songs about each other false and just for 'shippers' (if they bother to notice)? How does that fit when lyrics are straight from S's diaries or Lindsey explains their concrete origin, for example?
9. Doesn't their constant 'it doesn't go beyond the stage'/'it's not necessarily reality' talk completely NEGATE their purpose in giving other quotes and actions for shippers?
