I wonder whether the idea of it being 'kind of a beautiful way to wrap up this last act' isn't just another ruse to lure Stevie's participation. Lindsey himself certainly seems happy to be working in the confines of the band now. I think he would like things to continue indefinitely.

I know what you mean about Lindsey...does seem odd, especially in light of what he was saying on stage earlier in the tour...about this new chapter "bearing much fruit". I hadn't really given it much thought but I think his comments are out of character for him.
