It has been just terrible here with lone gunman siege and subsequent Cairns terrorist attack and killings.
Tony Abbott is on point to call those maniacs the ISIL death cult, but I can't help thinking he is only inflaming their rage and fuelling their murderous fires! 
Just so terrible. So many people have lined Martin Place with flowers, my Aunty took a picture, it was just beautiful.
It all makes me want to cry and I fear for my life at the thought of hopping on the local train at the local station just 5 km down the road from where I am writing now.

Ha, thank you. No, not from Sydney but not too far away - down in Wollongong, actually. I don't have much respect or liking for Abbott, personally, but yes, a rough few days for the locals and the country, really. I don't think it's necessary to scale human tragedy but I was pleased to see less Islamophobic remarks on my Facebook timeline than I'd expected, that's for sure.
I hope you're able to gain a better sense of security and calm soon.
