The SNL show was December 1983 and the Wild Heart Tour was over. Nightbird was released as the third single after If Anyone Falls fell off the chart in late November. On another note, I don't think Nightbird should have been a single. I think Wild Heart could have been extended with Enchanted or Nothing Ever Changes released as the 3rd single.

I think that the best singles from Wild heart, beside Stand back, would have been I will run to you, Nothing ever changes and Beauty and the beast.
Sable on blonde would have been a bomb live on tour instead.
