Yes, of course The Beatles did more with songs than Fleetwood Mac ever has. The mantra of this band, since Tusk, has been KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) - "guys, let's stick to what worked for us in 1977". But even putting said "experimental" Tusk songs next to what Led Zeppelin did (Stairway to Heaven being a good example) or The Beatles did and many of the ideas are significantly less developed. Lindsey's songs are so short...I might have preferred if he went go big or go home and really went for a guitar epic, 8-10 minute album cut. I wish their songs weren't reduced to Adult Contemporary...but that's what happens when you reinforce the same songs and album to the world.
