Tusk will always be my choice. It's my favorite incarnation of the band, and each of the 3 songwriters are at their respective heights. There's such a breadth of material and styles, but it all works together somehow. The album just has this epic, sprawling nature to it that's pretty hard to eclipse.
I think the
best album is probably Mystery To Me, though. It's just flawless- every song and every sound is purposeful, and worth it's weight in gold. As much as Mystery To Me's perfection impresses me, Tusk's warts will always win over my emotions, though.
