She may not have passed away yet, when the picture was taken.
I remember reading how Melissa had Joan Rivers' dogs taken to the hospital to spend time with Joan, before Joan was taken off of life support. I do think the person knows, even if they're brain dead. I think it matters.
But thinking of your point, the last funerals I have been to have been of older people and cell phones were not an issue, but I hate to think what funerals of
young people are like these days, because you know there will be young people in attendance who are not aware of proper etiquette and will want to take selfies at the funeral.
