It's true you can't hear Christine's accordion, but there's something sexy about her having it on. I mean, it brings her onto the floor and gets her out from behind the piano. So, that's always welcome. It makes them seem like more of a band and that was especially true when John would join the huddle with Christine and Lindsey, which he doesn't do this time around.
BUT aside from all the practical aspects ... it just looks so darn good when she straps on that accordion.

I attended this show. Having Christine come out playing the accordion has more of a visual appeal than musical effect. Lindsey gave a little speech before the show. At the end Mick gave a speech and then Stevie gave one. My friend, who was seeing them for the first time, asked me if this is something they always did? I explained that this is a fairly new aspect of their shows that they have adopted in recent years.
I was little disappointed seeing a patch work of empty seats throughout the arena. The seating capacity is a little over 17,000. I estimate it was about 80% filled.
